Damned pictures

So its coming up on serious holiday time but there's still lots of awesome stuff happening out there....

This Friday is a winner - start the night off checking out the closing reception of Damn It!!! A photo exhibit celebrating 35 years of the Damned with photos by John Nickolai and his students at MIT with text for the show written by the Damned themselves (current and various alumus). This is happening from 7-9 PM this Friday at MIT's Stratton Student Center (2nd flr) 84 Mass Ave

Thursday, December 15 the Weisstronauts' have their 13th Annual Holiday Jubilee (and double-CD-release party!) at Radio ....Set Times: Hillbilly Holiday (9pm), Weisstronauts (10pm), The Rudds (11pm)

Here's a killer Ho Ho Ho show not to be missed: A Beantown Holiday Bop this Friday, Dec 16 at TT's- with The Raging Teens, Port Charles Quintet and The Roy Sludge Trio- wow, that's a great line up!!

down the street that night the 16th is also a Heavy Sirip show at The Cantab!

Alas there is also a cool Cal Cali Show at Rosebud the same night: Titanics, Jetset and Cal Cali's New Experience with The Hartt Attack GoGo Chicks, and the Doug MacDonald Band

And this coming Sunday there is a Rock n Soul Review with Barrence Whitfield, the Fools, Casey Desmond, John Powhida, Tsunami of Sound, Streight Angular and more at The Regent Theater, Arlington.

Just say WBCN and the fond memories start. Now, there is a movie in the works about the early days of WBCN. They are raising money via Kickstarter...go to www.KickstartWBCN.com to make a tax-deductible pledge.

Doesn't look like there's much going on for the week of Christmas I mean the clubs totally close! But on Friday the 23rd at O'Brien's there's Sasquatch & The Sickabillys and the Mishits a Misfits tribute band (THAT should be good for a laff!)

And there is Andrea Gillis Band free at Toad in Porter Square on the 26th

and then we have New Year's Eve

and the biggest celebration in town is First Night: $18!!!! You can buy the tix at loads of places around town like Shaw's Tedeschi's, and Au Bon Pain. But check this out!!: Buttons are available now at a special web price of $15 only at www.firstnight.org through Dec. 22.

The Upper Crust bless us all with a royal evening to usher in a new year at Church....yup it's that time and this year's show is a spectacular line up with The Upper Crust, Sidewalk Driver and Gene Dante & the Future Starlets - wow!!

But the Middle East is giving them a run for their money this NYE with an awesome show downstairs: Mellow Bravo, Township, Planetoid, Cocked N Loaded and The Grinds - and this show is 12 bucks instead of $25 you'll have to cough up yet again at Church

I'm sorry I don't want to even get in to next year yet except to say: two nights of MOB at The Brighton Music Hall in January (20 & 21st)...and The Remains are there on Friday Jan 13 ....whew!!
