December 31, 2012
All right it's here - the new year…2013…well it's here on 1/1/13…we got a couple days til then and here's what is happening:
Girls, Guns & Glory do their Third Annual Tribute to Hank Williams at the Lizard Lounge on Dec 31 & Jan 1st. Opening act is special guest Miss Tess and The Talkbacks…its sending me right back to my country roots at the Jim 10 in Ashland!!
Here's a most awesome way to ring in the New Year: Sidewalk Driver at Radio (Up) on New Year's Eve. They will do it well I have no doubt about that!
You may have noticed there is no Upper Crust New Year's Show this 2012…well as they state quite clearly on their website: "As is often their wont, The Upper Crust have withdrawn from the hubbub and hurly-burly of high society and retired to the privacy of their estates. Their Lordships are notorious for vanishing in this manner-sometimes quite abruptly between the intermediate stages of a twelve-course meal, and often for long stretches at a time-leaving their friends and followers in cruel and careless suspense as to when they shall reappear."…so they need not offer us lowly creatures a reason for the lack of a New Year's celebration but friends you can take comfort in the fact that the lordships will appear exactly one month late - on January 31st on the stage at Precinct in Union Square Somerville.
Now for the new year of 2013 - there's good stuff coming up:
