you go into the Jungle OR "Into the Sun".
Caught Zygote Theory, whom are a trio playing DAMN
good classic punk! "Commando" and "swallow my pride"
by ramones; "Dancin' with micelf", some
Danzing toon and: "Automatic" by my sixth
cuzzin GG Allin, off his fantastic first album.
Costumes were some kinda Leatherface on the guitarist and bassist
was celebrating his Scottish heritage for Saint Patrick's Day wearing
a kilt, so good bbq,and a GG Allin toon in a kilt...I regret missing
the other two bands coz they were all costumed/face-painted etc
AND Tyler Roth had booked bands that ALL brought in Marshall half-stacks....what
year is this? Am I in New Hampshire? A fun night! You might meet
me there EVERY "S-A_T_U_R_D_AY Night!".....

Dienstag 19 march 2024. Been watching old Midnight Specials
on "TV Eye"/youtube; procol harum hosted 30 nov 73, but
Humble Pie with the Blackberries! This trio has
one ex-Ikette and two ex-Raelets, so you can imagine how soulful
they are. They sang on the Pie's Eat It and Thunderbox albums but
this live footage is excellent! Steve Marriot is on fire as his
gums do the cocaine stutter and giving each lady a solo bit also
excellent. Band sounds like a funky Johnny and the Jumper Cables
and the bassist dresses like Silver Star and the Jukebox angels!

this day 1976. BUT on Coast to Coast AM heard Johnny
Cash/June Carter version
of "it aint me babe"; did I own it?
Johnny Cash greatest hits volume one on Columbia,which I bought
paper route money,same record label record club "summer of
'69",Bryan Adams. wikipedia lists what albums the cuts were
on and this Zimmerman cover was on the "orange blossom special"
album, a 4 Jan 65 release, which woulda been right after the Beatles"country"
album '65. Male/female vocals equal Highland/Moore and/or The Darlings
(buy their cds from Linda Garrow Highland (RIP) on discogs!"

day of Thor 21 March 2024. been watchin' midnight special
on youtube and 28 sept 73, i swear I Uriah Heep
debut "Stealin'" on the telly; took fiddy years
but it IS on first Mad Painter cd. What I DONT remember was
Seals and Croft introducing dressed-down Americana acts
and Brits like Heep/T. Rex being glammed up! But, the REAL ace
in hole wuz Mrs. Marc Bolan, Gloria Jones whom
did the ORIGINAL "tainted love" and her soulful/gospelly
overtones overshadow hubby like Merry Clayton did on "Gimme
Shelter" re:Sir Mick.. and they wonder why "My head's
in '73"".....

years on Sun $1.99 released 1 Jan 74; last song I heard 31
dec 73 was Stooges doin' "search and destroy". "The
most beaitiful girl in the world" b/w "your pretty face
is going to hell"? ok, I doscoged this; lotsa nice instrumental
b-sides but "Winner by elimination" IS: "Right behind
you baby"! "well, you can make up your face, dye your
hair/ no matter what you do, turn around and i'll be there"....stalkin'
"the most beaitufl girl" "Behind closed doors"?
Not Chaz, that silver-haired gent. This was a 19 March 58 Sun b-side
by Ray Smith, covered in december '58 by Vince Taylor, whom originally
did that Slickee Boys cover "brand new cadillac". So $1.99
discover a Hopelessly Obscure rockabily cover! "why I'm...happier'n
a Gismo in Bloomington!" (I got censored on Indiana NPR; "wot
oi mint t' say wuz, i wuz 'appier'n a Gismo at Wade's BBQ"....Ken
Ono Gismo (more popular than Jesus Christ Allin!)"....

a comedy open mike nine pm but again: Jungle free, food/drink, hoping
to see half the folks at my 68th that I did at Willie Loco's 81st....ok
tyme for Joe Bussard (RIP) country classics (on 78!) WPAQ
740 AM, voice of the Blue Ridge...how about a Okeh label
78 from 1948 replete with surface noise? Now THAT is a birthday
present!
