then settled into the Jungle. opening was: Kayde
Haze. '70s glam NY Punk. They went into atonal first
Velvet Underground ostrich guitar rave-ups or
even echoes of the Exploding Plastic Inevitable
OR O. Rex jammin' wid Television circa '75 on "little johnny
Jewel". Al Hendry, Mad Painter drummer et
al, sez Day Lilies wuz "psycho pop".
Turns out captain easychord and I been following
Ad frank and drummer since Miles Dethmuffin '80s!
Miss Lyn sez bassist is in the new Endation.
Let me give some tribute to Ad Frank in the George
Harrison role of guitar/vocals. VERY tasteful leads and I/me/Mine
heard echoes of Elliot Easton and Mick Ronson, givin' it dat '70s
thang. Lastly wuz Galaxy Cake, whom get tighter
each tyme I see dem. "why dont we do it in da road"-Beatles
white album, always a fave AND since it wuz dere single release
party on sum fuggin' label, it's the toon dat echoes Afrika Korps
"Make her know"! (on dat Gulcher cd, I dig Brian Jones
rhythm and harp for the Sir Douglas fans whom believe "Babe
it just don matter"...."A hard day's night",missed
da headliner but "take me bak 'ome" 2300 hours, maybe
next tyme i catch whoever da fuck it wuz"

Sonntag 24 march 2024. Ken and Gee Julie looking
for brunch and as I walk east down Cambridge Street, I discover
JP restaurant and bar. same owners as location
as the Brazilian Midwest Grille and food is Portuguese/Brazilian,
LARGE portions, nice people et AND (Brazilian sports channel): Brazilian
volleyball! It looked very warm down there

Dienstag 26 March 2024. decided to ramble to the FREE (no cover!)
Jungle. caught John MacLean on
mandolin doin' "Highway Patrol" by a Casper Springstein
descendant; when he queried the audience I sez "Bruce dun it
but i had heard da JR Cash version". He left his cds gratis,
good Americana gotta lissen; final toon "by townes van zandt"
"Pancho and lefty". Good stuff. next up Kev on
the keys; he could ALMOST be captain easychord and Schmiel playin'
to fratboys: Queen's "dont stop me now", Ben Folds Five,
Billy Joel/Bruce,ending with "The Sopranos ending" on
dat fuggin' Journey song. Lastly I caught Darien Castro,
a petite folksinger wid a very belting voice whom lists Adele as
an infleunce. A cover of Bob Marley,mon, "No woman no cry"
wuz "hebbin, not h'agony" and perfect exit song as I'd
finished (drinkin') my coke,man..

Rain and I" pretending I wuz my cuzzin Ken Kobain, coffee at
(vin) Diesel cafe 0803 and it's...."all this and more"
by Dead Boys! I have a mid-80s drunk-ass tale:
Cheetah Chrome were livin' in Boston towne and
he jammed wid da Arf Arf Hopelessly Obscure. told
me the intro to "all this and more" wuz "borrowed"
from the intro to Raspberries "Tonight"! Reason Johnny
and Jumper Cables kovered this toon is Cheetah taught it
to me and I think he joined the Cables onstage at ("Dead boston
club") Jumpin' Jack Flash....either way what a wakeup flashback!

during lockdown! ANOTHER $1.99 Charlie Rich album:
Sun's best of charlie rich, released
1 jan 74 as Blue Oyster Cult followed the Stooges with an oom-pap-pa
band opening. Some repeats but the gem: Charlie Rich wrote and did
the original "Breakup"! Chaz sings like Elvis and plays
keys like Jerry; such a underrated Sun artist. Jerry released "Breakup"
august '58, this were the release after "Breathless".
By this point, he'd already married his first cuzzin once removed,so
his bassist wuz also his first cuzzin AND hiz father-in-law....even
Kenne Ed Highland caint claim that!

see you all this Tuesday April 2 for my 68th birthday at
the Jungle seven pm til "when it all gets old".
Buy some Wade's bbq that you can bring in and buy a beverage from
the Jungle bar. Some HipHop is scheduled before the comedy open
mike at nine pm OR we can adjourn to the Peoples Karaoke at Vera's
