saturday 30 march 2024. took a lissen to BBC radio wales and
caught WELSH WONDERS. you can listen to podcasts
about Shirley Basssey and/or SIR Tom
Jones but plesantly listenable was Bonnie Tyler!
She covered Big Brother and Holding Company "Turtle Blues"
(bought that as "piece of my heart" b-side but played
IT more than I ever played It Play!) and Bonnie does a very credible
version; BBC said she even recorded it in Janis's same recording
booth! again, you can check out the podcast if'n ypu want"

Dienstag 2 april 2024. My 68th birthday party. 6-9 pm.
the jungle: Hip Hop Showcase! with the OJI
Collective there was a mosh pit and guys in masks with baseball
bats whom reminded Miss Lyn of The Warriors.
Before each song, the rappers would testify like Pentecostal preaching
to which captain easychord said: "kick out the jams modda
fockas!" There was a MF Doom reference,
hence the masks? And a rapper name Taz, whom
Miss Lyn thought wuz gorgeous. My birthday guests: Miss
Lyn/Micky Bliss/Captain Easychord and Sharon
Crumrine of Milling Gown.Me/Captain/Sharon all adjourned
to Vera's for The People's Karaoke. I performed
"Delta Lady" mixing April 2 birthday boy Leon Russell
with Joe Cocker and Captain sang "what a fool believes"
doing his Michael MacDonald impersonation. So the Final Score
for most intersting birthday: Hip Hop Showcase and karaoke! "God
Only Knows" what next year brings!

day of Wodin 3 april 2024. Since a February Middle East gig with
Ginger Ibex, I've had a free three-song cd of Force us to
stop implanted in my $20 central square Goodwill cd player.
LIKE them on Facebook
and there's a toon that mixes "Incense and Peppermints"
with the Bubble Puppy and the Rugbys "Wendegahl the warlock".
Continuing in this '68-'69 vein, the keyboards are kinda Mad Painter-ish,
meaning some very Heep Purple swimmin' round in some vanilla-ing
Fudge with a trace of Bloodrock. There's a Union Tavern gig on a
Friday soon; catch 'em with Mal Fitzhugh on Rickenbacher
bass of Ginger Ibex whom also was in Sans Nomenclature
and a google of her sez" "from stafford,virginny";
I was KEnceived in Garrisonville, it's all (Jim) Stafford county!

day of THOR 4 Avril 2024. High energy vintage does
Space Age Exotica Lounge Party at Vera's 9-1200
every First Thursday. I walk into a big-band version of "Misirlou"
and Mideast belly dancing records. Yma Sumac with
surface noise! They play vinyl! Mambo music! Martin Denny! Moog
versions of groovy '60s Beatles/"Good Morning starshine"/"age
of aquarius" HAIR music as folks dance all groovy and what
not. Lastly, Los Yaki, Mexico '60s band doin' Spanish
version of "you lost that lovin feelin" that was Mui Loco.
First day of Thor each month is High Energy at Vera! got schedule
from door dude: tuesday: the people's karaoke. wed: drag bingo!
thurs: High energy and/or YACHT rock! fri/sat: djs 10-0200, sometyme
Primitive sounds and/or DJ Panda and/or '90s night! Check Vera's;
it's FREE, ya moddafocka!

11 april 2024 I aim to chill out listening to yacht
rock in Vera's lounge, which WAS Precinct but I like
it even BETTER lissenin' to olde records!
