Dont Count (Rumford) Machhu Picchu, but zuckerbook has said Soul-le--lu-jah

done sailed but at least it wun't the Titanic! Supported local
coz bux got me a buncha dollar and/or fiddy cent dancehall reggae
45s (ala WERS Rockers from that same 1998 tyme) plus Stylistics
"you are everything". WIDE variety here but "funk"
and "reggae" 45s i am SO down wid!
Over to Vera's for da dj: Chic's "La Freak",
Temp's "My Girl" guitar intro sampled in song, disco
moddafockin' BALL, young kidz dancin' like it wuz a "disco
inferno"....I hung till ten pm or so but NOT til "dancin'
wid micelf" to "gonna make you sweat (everybody dance
now)". Talkin' wid a doorman (carlton) I MUST mention saturday

Montag 22 april 2024. a good night to stay inside and play vinyl
index 45s. So let's look at that one dollar copy of "Betcha
by golly wow" by the stylistics. release 17 feb 72, b-side
"ebony eyes" ,both on their 6 nov 71 debut album (think
I'd bought Funhouse da previous month). Around dis tyme I remember
readin' a "Too Rolling Stoned" interview with future
Sir Reginald KENNETH Dwight (Aries and flamboyant) expressing
his RECORD COLLECTING geekdom on producer Thom bell's "Philadelphia
freedom" soul, like dey usedta play at da Sugar Shack and/or
yjr Other Side. Hey, I bought a Thom Bell 45 elton prolly dug
and for a buck and a great record store in my 'hood,yo! "Happier'n
'n' a porpoise mouth"

day of Wodin 24 april 2024. had supper at vera's
before Drag Bingo outside and did a interview
with a Rochester NY fanzine about my Brockport NY daze pre-Gizmos
for a Gizmo article. I DID write "pumpin to playboy"/"weer
gonna rumble"/"dats cool (I respect U more") in
Brockport during high school and NEVER thought they'd be covered
by Cub Koda or on the Gulcher Gizmo nation record. The interviewer
(SUNY Brockport 2020 versus Bob Richert of Gulcher Brockport '70)
was a REAL record geek, even tellin' me whom da guys in Sneakers
went onto! (heard a copy of their record in BGN groupie towers in early '77).
His gurlfriend is from St Louis (Gruberger Brothers on Rerun records!)
and iz a "21st century Gismos Fan" and "really
wants to go to Brockport"; da Liverpool of da Gismos! Tours
to my boyhood homes! To TRULY be like Beatle John, though, they
need to "Gimme back my foreskin"!

rock played over da system. Besides us singin' along to Bread and
Seals and Croft ("talkin' 'bout my generation"!) she always
wuz singin' like a Byrd to the Doobie Brothers "takin' it to
da streets" as sang by Captain Karaoke. BGN headline! Captain
Easychord "knee is getting better...got a little too
wild on "Hot Child in the city""....(Til Tuesday's
karaoke). dis Nik Gilder hit recorded october 1977 like Ken Kaiser's
"I love you Laurie" b/w "Joyrce"(sold more copies)
and released 12 June 78 simultaneuously wid da Korps Hello World,
but obviously sold more copies than "Mad at the World",
to which I still remain (sic)......
