The Baltic Boys

Sonntag 19 May 2024. Ken and Gee Julie attend Polish fest at dat club on Boston street arriving "Four until late". Vendors, yes, from stores in the "Polish Triangle" of Dorchester plus a dj playin' Italo-disco hits like Modern Talking et al. The Baltic Boys Polka Band were EXCELLENT! sax/trumpet/piano/accordion/bass/ drums everybody dancin' da Torah like a Greek-fest (Ken and Julie included!) grannys/gramps/moms/REAL Kids....lastly dare I NOT mention that I indeed DID have the "Keilebasa"? Lotsa events there, Zuckberg will be A.I.in' mein arsch for sure!".

Dienstag 21 may 2024. The People's Karaoke at vera's 9 til "after midnight".atteneded by me and Gee Julie. I sang the wilson pickett version of Free's "Fire and water", which fit my voice well, thus i dont need singing lessons for certain local labels. Followed by the "ooga shakas: of Blue Swede's "hooked on a feeling" which fugged up MY shokras; first heard it on a car radio in February '74 ridin' into a Sabbath concert, man wid a buncha Brockport NY stoners....havent been de same since!

by way, James Brown "cold sweat" was an earworm so DAt iz next week's toon; I do gruff southern soul better'n sweet Philly falsetto so it's like da Irish curse; do the best wid what little you got! (Brian Maday,green street station, drummed on "brother louie" but in '80s WAS in 1-4-5!

Dis morning Ken and Gee Julie went to online Radio Box and tuned into 24/7 Polka Heaven. seems to originate from Pennsylvania and they announced a big polka festival with "folks coming from Alaska and Wisconsin"...this is like Dead Heads, man....heard a good song about cigarettes and whiskey, EVERY beat is upbeat; "Morning maniac Musik!
