friday 23 june 17, club-linehan-ago-go live at McGann's, North
station, ALMOST Chet's! Johnny Plankton wore a WAYOUTS shirt and
that is how at cantone's 13 march 82, I met Richard D. Mirsky, whom also
played in Wayouts, through Brenda Lee Argabright (RIP) from Vienna Virginny,
so since "my guitar will be HAPPY for you to play it", I RAN to the
bar, did a Superman-sans-phone booth change out of work clothes for an 8 pm
and, post-set to Mirsky: "I did EVERY Link Wray lick onstage in honour
of Brenda!". opening with Hawkwind's "silver machine" what HAVENT
I said and the Remake/Remodel NEW EDITION of troggs "i want you"/MC5
"I want you right now" (done Rat balcony KRAZEE Ken Highland
and METAL Mike Saunders) was a good excuse to do Hendrix licks behind
my head (and let's not forget Axis: Bold as "Seasons in the Sun"!).
Johnny Plankton was THE best I seen him with Hixx backin' him like the Band
backing up Sir Van in the Last Waltz (only Levon Helm didnt play like Bonham!)
but fucken TWO guitars: Richard D. Mirksy had "support" for
lead fills on Bowie's "queen bitch" and "we like EARLY alice
cooper" "Be My Lover"...ok, already a fan but late '70s punk
covers and "you woulda heard this on 'BCN in the '70s"...."well
come on over baby and step into my TIME MACHINE!"....BUT, and Ted Niemiec
DOES say that with two T's, GURL POWER was our "best bette"....why?
the fucken '90s!!!!! DIDNT quite catch the name but a female-fronted quintet
with TWO guitarists using Cry-Baby wah-wah; lissen to Farner's intro to "paranoid"
on Grand Funk's Live album and tell me my distant cousin didnt invent grunge!!!
Grunge wun't nuthin' more than Leigh Stephens-era Blue Cheer as if produced
by Terry Knight....yeah, Lapeer, Michigan's Terry KNAPP, an ARIES like me, invented
fucken GRUNGE by producing the first six Grand Funk albums SANS Craig Frost,
Fabulous Pack keyboards, in fucken CLEVELAND! (same studio as James Gang if
your "Head's in '71"....)...This lady projected well, emphasize the
visuals, kinda Joplin-esque or maybe even Ann Wilson, Heart, SEATTLE! My dunkin'
donuts (seniour discount AARP card!) sez Ann Wilson singing grunge and Ken Keegan
(John Highland?) AGREE that "black hole sun" (soundgarden? how the
fuck do I know?) was superb and again that Grand Funk live album wah-wah...roll
that doobie brothers on a gatefold album cover! I remember Copperfields had
grunge tribute bands, maybe with Club Linehan doing Kinks/Stones/Chuck Berry
we were "classic rock"...a lotta "young dudes" who dug it,
photos by John Keegan, fun was had and now through a work discount I got a Direct
TV app, 120 channels! (no gigs til Gizmos in three weeks in chicago so "TV
Eye"...on ME!!!!!!!!".....

After shopping at Haymarket, Gee Julie and I agreed to use my Kendall cinema
passes and catch 830 pm new selma hayak. Beatriz at Dinner.
Ken and Gee Julie are like siskel and ebert on this'un; me: I woulda wasted
eight bucks on Gennesee Beer in Brockport NY due to BOREDOM, but Gee normally
likes Selma Hayek but this movie didnt make sense. Some was surreal, so "who
knows who reality is?". Selma is a Mexican immigrant masseuse whose car
breaks down whilst masseusing a "rich bitch"/"she-creature of
the hollywood hills" (Stooges) plus the Dils ("I hate the rich"!).
So broke-down car before a dinner party and most obnoxious guy in world is a
neo-Trump/Thurston Howell/"let them eat cake" millionaire played by
an actor descended from William Bradford of the Mayflower (VERY condescending).
(GG Allin and I both have Mayflower ancestry but we're TRUE Americans,
First: "redneck white trash and blue blood!" kinda like our editor....(HEY!!
Whatcho mean Kenne??-ed")....accusations like "how DID you get in
this country" etc. and you'll be glad Selma dreams of knifing him! (he
DID kill her goat; she's a goat gurl!). I SHALL spoil the ending; Selma gets
drunk on wine, fights with the bourgeoisie, gets her car towed, then stops and
walks into the ocean....I find listening to "Ocean" off first Cactus
album more exciting (Tim Bogert of Vanilla Fudge riffin' like CARL BIANCUCCI!!!
youtube this shit!) then she's rowing a clam river, then credits and me goin'
"what the FUCK???????".....soundtrack by Devo (Mark mothersbaugh)
and an Eno song also...well YOU decide! Let's say tyme-wise, it WAS the "winner
by elimination"! (meaning, 830 movie versus 930 pm...shit, we'd be asleep!
where's my seniour discount?!?!??!?!?!"......

"Facebook invite for filipino
independence day city hall plaza sunday 25 June 17. Gee Julie took photos
of me with the grand marshall and there were some vets there; when i was stationed
at camp pendelton California, same place as Lee Harvey Oswald, I had a Mexican
corporal whom had been stationed in Phillipines, so age 20, I learnt Spanish,
Tagalog and wrote "gimme back my foreskin" (after firing M-60 machine
guns all day). Food by asian food mart, 779A south franklin street, holbrook
mass and Quincy has a Filipino restraunt and store near where i usedta buy scottish
guds. a lot of native dance by Hoy Pinoy etc. BUT: PINOY ROCK: Take
The Stage astoria ny, an emo filipino-american band - they are teens! Guitarist
had a Fender Jaguar, his cousin on bass and 13 year old brother doing Mitch
Mitchell rolls on a cocktail drum set; the Amazing Kenskin sees "Superstardom
is my destiny!" (Jon mendelson rolling stone). Imagine the Clap live at
the Teaneck NJ tennis courts performing Hello World (Kenny's toons) in Tagalog
and, as sure as Oscar Gruberger didnt smoke a kaiser cigar: "sign 'em up!".
A Spirit-sounding lead (some fuzz/Gizmo thing that i eschew) I dug plus singing
pop hits in Tagalog.....Gee Julie re-enacted the March From Bataan to the Boston
Public Library and Pvt KE Highland, who did indeed hate "califawnia gurls"
was having Post Cali SD walking in the sun, totin' the M-60 up mount muthafucka"....

ELDER ABUSE!!!! Boston Groupie News SCANDAL!!!! Gee Julie makes
ancient Marine veteran KE Highland walk from government center to boston public
library, re-enacting the March from Bataan!! But "Hapiness is a warm"...Coffee!
("oh yeah"...) and a seat in the WGBH cafe, plus a bio on: RITCHIE
BLACKMORE! ok, we're both Aries and both great guitarists but the first half
of the book is pre-Purple! and quite impressive....QUITE a session discography,
to rival Jimmy Page; when Gee Julie and I arent watching Doctor Who on
BBC America (FIRST!), I should youtube these Hopelessly Obscure 45s. The chapters
on Joe Meek are brilliant enough as they are, and then Screamin' Lord Sutch?!?!?!?!!
Meek and Ritchie both interested in "spiritualism", talking to Buddy
Holly's ghost and what-not....and let's not forget mention of "Telstar",
the Korps 1978 pre-gig intro in Kaiser Stadium (post- Gruberger but Elston Howard
still neighbour; collect those baseball cards!). Of REAL interest, "Telstar's
bassist is some Kraut named Heinz, whom Blackmore backed up; und das ist gut
musik! Lastly, first Deep Purple album on Tetragammon, couple of blokes in the
band turned Ritchie onto VANILLA FUDGE, so that whole first album is slowed-down
versions of fast toons....something the Kenz should try! and when we go from
"Telstar" to Vanilla Fudge, you NOW know why the Korps only lived
together a month back in '82".....

"Gizmos in chicago in three weeks PLUS filming a documentary about them!
Yes, I AM ready for my close up BUT, let's check out my fellow Aries Ritchie
Blackmore....the 1963 movie Live It Up! (wikipedia)
released in Amerika, First as Sing and Swing. filmed at Pinewood studios, where
all the GOOD Bond films were made, mate...Gene Vincent in this movie! (Miriam
Linna already knew that....)....The Outlaws! (with the son of a Welshman
R. Blackmore!) "a young actor" whom will later pay "tri-bute
to the ro-o-o-o-o-o-o-lin' stones": Steve Marriot! David Hemmings from
Blow Up! music and lyrics by Joe Meek...so waitin' for the bluidy tube,
I figger, let's eye Heinz (played bass on "telstar"!) on youtube doing
"just
like eddie", a tribute to mister cochran. Guitar solo by R. Blackmore,
bopping about onstage; guitar solo, a decade before "smoke on water"
and Hendrix influence on '68 Purple records: sounds like Scotty Moore doing
the solo in wayne fontana's "game of love"! or james burton, one of
those "pickers"...Not one World of Distortion! Blackmore bio says
he used a chuck berry Giz-tar (Gibson 335) maybe through a Vox? Let Blowfish
geek out on this schiess, Heinz ist wunderbar and enjoy the movie on youtube!
AND have a good weekend as 25% of me celebrates Canada Day and the rest celebrates
Amerika, First!"...
