"veterans day 11 nov 17, i went to kendall cinema, movie
passes from work and caught LADY BIRD coz as usual
it was the next movie playing i hadnt seen. so this teen girl angst, sacramento
california "the midwest of california" class of 2002 is nothing new....when
girl hooks up with jaded shoegaze musician; "this song sucks" versus
her digging dave matthews "crash", it coulda be 1974 with "Jailbait
Janet" signing yearbook to her boyfriend "Just you and me" (wimpy
fucken Chicago song! Terry Kath RIPS on Transit Authority album!). girl to dad
re: some fucken alannis morrisette song on car radio "she wrote this in
ten minutes" dad: "it sounds like it"; if it was MY fucken kid
i'd have added "and sky saxon wrote "pushin' too hard" in ten
minutes and it's a better fucken song!" thank God, the Highland line ends
in my fucken scrotum....otherwise gurls at all-catholic high schools have been
gittin' drunk and gittin' laid since....1962! forty years previous and american
grafitti! I could rave on more but as a soundtrack geek: "as
we go along" by the Monkees from HEAD, "porpoise
song" b-side!!!! and in the end (sorry greta gerwig) HEAD was the better
fucken movie! hey i'm brian wilson's cuzzin too SO "I guess i just wasnt
made for these tymes" (2002?!?!?!? what a shit year that was! ANY day after
y2k has fucken SUCKED unless it was a Gizmos gig....."....

"sunday 12 nov 17 i could have gone to lyres

switzerland advanced. Greece Croatia was next game but Croats advanced. on my

asked about Iceland and there is a FIFA app and also page on facebook! (what
the grandfunk isnt on facebook?) rock'n'roll note: met "Fly" thursday

"tuesday 14 nov 17 ken and gee julie in
eggleston square Rocksbury, Mass. i used to live on kensington; when i first
moved there in 2006, I was hangin' with Skippy White at the
store, askin' about eatin' places and he said "there's some nice Spanish
places on washington street". and he's right! D&
D restaurant, 3141 washington street (north of midway cafe, which is in
JP),
like them on facebook. "the BEST Dominican food". In my sojourn
there I hadnt tried them, we did $18 fed two people DAMN good! we got to watch
TR3s channel (also on facebook), Latin videos; Gee Julie and I figgered out
"Adios Amor" was "goodbye love" and let me quote me in a
1972 issue of rock on, lovin' the Carpenters coz Roy
Wood did mostly coz of guitar solo at end of "goodbye to love",
which could almost be "adios amor". another video i enjoyed was guy/gurl/love/CLASSIC
CAR/"Havana Moon"! (actually unlike that chuck berry b-side covered
by Rufus it was sunny) but "forget that gurl" (Monkees); the fucken
'50s car was a real "Boss Hoss" since all the made in DETROIT cars
in Cuba were pre-1959. Gee Julie enjoyed the neighbourhood, mom and pop stores
everywhere for the blue collar Dominican neighbourhood; Herr Drumpf did NOT

Chenevert, sax from Dr. Black's Combo, then joined on drums by David
Maclean and a lot of Boom Boom toons; "gourmet baby" and yes the Korps
saw WA do "at the rat" covered by afrika korps cantones sunday 21 aug 77 ("a flat,
you dummy!"-solomon to Jay gruberger channeling Kinks/Oasis/Eberles sibling rivalry).
Next up Nervous Eaters and the Crickets classic two guitar/bass/drum
lineup STILL sounding fresh but with a Loaded/Velvets 1969 feel; that would be
Lou/Sterling/Yule and Mo, NO John Cale art-rock here, just straight ahead rock.

II. laslty Dogmatics played revvep-up Chuck Berry ala my
songs on Afrika Korps live at cantone's (gulcher!) though "gimme the shakes' could
pass for "fox lane" "I want you everyday" "you're a tease baby' (Solomon gruberger
songs). Ritchie Pah-suns got up to sing a couple Unnatural
Axe toons with Dogmatics as band and it was fucken Dot-rock!
(that's dorchester rock for y'all). Got a "swag bag", Rat cap, signed the Rat
t-shirt, thank ewe Gee Julie, Randall Gibson IV to left of Kenneth
Highland I. who'd i see? folks Still alive and well but this is the boston groupie
news not fucken backstage at Max's Rock scene! that's Miss Lyn NOT Lisa Robinson!
or as house guest Jayne County (she used my plunger for Toilet
Love at the Middle East !!!-ed) said the once "Snoopy? ah thought that cat's
name was Sloopy" (insert snoopmeister photo) unfortunately I do not have
a Snoopy "The Meister" photo available but he was a funky wonderful
cat who loved Kenne very much-ed."....
