Boston Rock Opera's
Happening Holiday Special
12/16/2017
Boston Rock Opera brings together more than two dozen
performers from the Boston music scene to celebrate the holidays
with music and laughter, while raising money for Hurricane Maria
relief. December 16th, 2017 at ONCE Ballroom.
It’s Christmas Eve as reclusive rock star Mick Mondo sits alone by the fire, convinced that he’s been forgotten by his friends, former fans, and bandmates. Solstina the Solstice Goddess appears to remind him of the many reasons for the Holiday season. While her intentions are good, the guests who sing holiday classics only remind him, and us, of the cultural shifts and uncertain times we live in. It takes a special performance of Muppet holiday classics by MAYHEM!, and a return to the stage with Mondo’s band Streaker, to bring a bit of joy to the old rocker’s heart. Or does it? Find out in this send-up of Made-for-TV Holiday Specials.
Music Direction by Peter Moore, Joshua Pickering and Mick Maldonado. Story by Eleanor Ramsay. Projections by Vidumami
