Teach Me!....... Before the sad news of the passing of much beloved Kathy Duff we here at The BGN had been working on the idea of a Helanie Tribute…looks like The Tribute will still be on, in May, at The Abbey but now more than ever we realize we need to pay tribute to our Boston Rock family and unsung heroes, WHILE they are still with us!!!! So here goes the first in our series of tributes…. Helanie, who has asked that we also keep the memory of Kathy strong during her Tribute Party in May…..and as we hear Jeff Connolly has said, the shows dedicated to Kathy(looks like The Kirkland April 24th) will be TRIBUTES not just memorials!!….and speaking of unsung heroes… WOW!! We went to see Jon Macey at The Kirkland….he is an incredible song writer and musician and has a truly awesome band with him as well!! Be sure to check 'em out next time they play in Boston, which we hope will be soon!!…..this Wednesday, February 25th is the first ever Pete Depressed solo acoustic show! at Club Passim in Harvard Square, Featuring solo performances by: Keir Byrnes, Mark Linskey, Jason Bennett, Jonee Eartquake and Patience…and since the idea of Meat Depresses me I need to tell you that they also have a great Vegetarian restaurant in that space as well so forgo the flesh that night and have dinner there too!!….and Wednesday 2-25 is also Kenne Highland and His Vatican Sex Kittens at Dodge Street Grille in Salem .this THURSDAY AT TT THE BEAR'S PLACE!!! We take all necessary steps to ensure the well-being of our cats, including screening for infectious diseases, spaying and neutering, and providing rabies, distemper and other necessary vaccinations. As a general policy, Kitty Angels sets no limits on the amount of veterinary care which it will provide to a sick or injured cat to return it to a state of good health prior to placing it in a good home.
We also believe in the importance of expanding the public's awareness for the need to neuter and vaccinate all pets. All of Kitty Angels' work is accomplished by a network of dedicated, unpaid volunteers whose common objective is to ameliorate the problems of the existing homeless feline population while simultaneously working towards reducing their future numbers through the combination of feline sterilization and public education.

ok now on to more frivolous things.... and we got this from a reader who might just be the next Joan Jett if the right person responds to her: "Hello, I've been searching around for a good punk musician to give some guitar lessons on a beginner/intermediate level"...contact!: Teach Me!.......The Marvels new "Cheat To Win" CD release party will be in April @ The Abbey…….Hey we got an email from Mr. Airplane Man last week and just in case you were wondering, they were in "Dutchland" and were playing live on the radio…….pretty cool! Those girls are jet-setting world travellers...…and The Jabbers tell us they are getting international attention too…did 3 interviews this week. In the last couple weeks they did interviews with Garbage Dump (Italian/very cool site web and print) , Hot Pants (Italian/print) and Kankenhaus(German/print)...oh yeah, a radio station in New Haven, CT too and they will be playing in New Haven in March, will let you know when we get the details…..and we hear there are plans for a documentary on Thundertrain!!! So all you folks out there that enjoyed the shows this past summer will be happy to hear that!! More news on that as we hear it…….hey what the f'k is up with that new Middle East website???? It used to be a place to go and get info now it's all "Place your ad here" and hey guys!!! No one's placing their ads there!!!! Because there's nothing to look at BUT ads!!!
