    Ok its Boston so it is St. Patty's Day yet?? Oh yeah this Thursday is the 17th....... at Precinct for this very special day in Boston......well that'd be Somerville ....Kier Byrnes presents The New England Americana All Stars, Comanchero and Three Day Threshold......and in the world called Allston there's a punk/folk/hoedown event at O'Brien's with Larry And His Flask and Greenland Is Melting and because it is St Patty's day there just isn't enough room for all the people that want to drink volumes so there are TWO shows, one at 6:30 and one at 9PM.
    and St Patrick's Day there's a cool punk show over at Church with Beantown Boozehounds and others
    Now if you are in Providence...or going to be there for St Patrick's Day here's your chance to really go crazy at The Firehouse 13 for The St. Pattys Day Drunk Punk Rock Showcase..... there a load of bands... Oi! Division, The Usual Suspects, Reason to Fight, Cheech, Full Clip 83 and Tony Jones and the Cretin 3 and spinning Irish Punk between bands, will be The Gentlemen Soundsystem! and this is an all ages show but for those who can drinking is more than encouraged ....
    whew OK so that's over...
    Friday March 18th at The Rosebud is a great gig with The Rudds, Downbeat 5, Watts and the Irreverands and At Church there's Jason Bennet & The Resistance, Swaggerin' Growlers and the Larkin Brigade..

    We're half way through March and it'll be April afore ya know it and there is some cool stuff coming up in April....such as.....Cheetah Chrome appearing with Mike Hudson of the Pagans and Bob Pfeifer of the Human Switchboard in the Cleveland Confidential Book Tour ...... On Thursday April 7th they will be in our area, down in Providence RI at the Knight Memorial Library (275 Elmwood Avenue, Provi.) they will be reading from and discussing their books - A Dead Boy's Tale, Diary of a Punk and University of Strangers! Put this on your calendars NOW!!

    April 9th is an all day punk extravaganza at the Middle East for Boston Rules OK! 2011 ...the day show has Death Before Dishonor, For The Worse, Ashers, Watchfire, Bulldog Courage and The Bonus Army...then the night show is excellent for sure with Razors In The Night, Bloodshot Hooligans, Blood Stained Brindle, Combat Crisis, Word For Word, Taxi Driver and Choke Up....

    April 16th a screening of Andy Warhol's film The Velvet Underground in Boston!!! This is being presented by Arts Emerson and should be a fantastic thing to see!!

    and Here's a sweet bill to look forwards to....... The Nervous Eaters, Lyres, and Robin Lane and the Chartbusters at the Royale on Saturday, April 16. Last time the Eaters played at the Beachcomber in Quincy they were in ripping top form.
