Nothing was easy this week. The weather put the kibosh on a few nights out. We did go to the Lydia Lunch show at the Elks Lodge in Central Square.  it was crowded inside and out. - lots were outside because inside was a steam bath environment inside.  This is what happens to this place in the summer, nothing new....it is steamy!! 

Judy Wilburn who saw Peach Ring was reporting in as we were on our wa: She was loving it..."young but old school punk...spot on" She also thought the atmosphere was "just like the Rat" we'd say it was more 70's paneled basement.

When we arrived a group was on stage that had sort of a Pere Ubu end of the world sound to them.  Lots of people were crowded up front and it was impossible to see from the back.
Knowing that this would be even worse for Lydia (who was walking around the club) and with the uncomfortable factor building we wimped out and split.

Happy Birthday to Skybar!! Check out his show this week..he's on WMFO 91.5 Tuesdays @ 8PM!! this weeks show will have all songs that feature women in prominent roles. He'll be spinning songs by Shanda & The Howlers ,honeychain and Patti Smith. Locally the likes of Stars Like Ours, Carissa Johnson and the Downbeat 5. Sounds awesome! And Happy Birthday Skybar!
