October 2, 2005

OK folks, we're back…I'm over my jet-lag and yearning for the tiny little streets of the Bari Gotic in Barcelona…Blowfish?, well he hated where he went on his business trip and is very very happy to be home…..Lucky me I got to meet Enric from Penniman Records who recently put out Eat This and Eatersville and another Nervous Eaters disc to be out soon with liners notes by yours truly. Enric is a fab guy with an awesome band himself, they're called The Meows….will be reviewing the disc soon!! And you can check them out at The Meows Now I'm not really one to spread gossip but we hear that while we've been gone T.Max (you know him…of the Noise) has actually made marriage plans with his new hottie Rita. Whoa!!! Now that's serious stuff… I hear, ghoulishly, T has decided to celebrate this union at The Kirkland Halloween Party, so go on down and wish the happy couple well!! …..OK so other stuff like cool shows coming up…well right away, Monday night, October 3rd…we got this from JJ Rassler and I am printing it verbatim since it's so well, its just good…." Doesn't get more In-Bred than This The incestuous nature of Boston's band scene is exploited to the max every Monday in Oct. at the Abbey. In a cross between Green Acres and a Tennessee Williams play, the mix and match musicians bon vivant of Boston, roll in the proverbial hay for a grand old Hee Haw from 7:00 to 11:00 PM on the Abbey's Pub Stage, which translates into No Cover!!!!! Some of the Downbeat 5 personnel reunite with former DB5 bassist Brad San Martin. He re-enters the fold as the newest Second Cousin on Pedal Steel Guitar, Mandolin, and Musical Strong Arm and all around panderer at large, posing as a chuck wagon cook . Well we needed at least one competent musician. So, come early, come often, oh, and bring your sister…The Lineup for Monday Oct 3rd, is 7:00-7:45 -Jason ( fromSuspect Device ) 8:00-8:45 -Thief in the Night , 9:00-9:45 -Second Cousins 10:00-10:45 Mississippi Blind Mike & Chicken Fried Jimmy (Skinny Mike from Coffin Lids & Triple Thick Jim)…sounds DAMN GOOD!!
