OK, if you're reading this and its Monday, Oct 10th head over to Harper's
Ferry in Allston to check out Boston's own Ric Ocasek,
yes of The Cars fame. He's just come out with a new CD and tickets are
only available at Newbury Comics so get 'em TODAY!!(Monday that is!) yeah I remember
when I first moved to the city, we're talking circa 1976, I lived in Harvard Square
at the famed "Groupie Towers", my roomie and
I would cross the street to the Blue Parrot (on Monday nights if I remember
correctly!) to see the new duo 'Ocasek and Orr'…
Ocasek on acoustic guitar and Orr on electric bass..that was pre-Cap'n
Swing never mind The Cars…gee,
how the times fly and how things change and even sometimes come around full circle!…..Tuesday,
Oct 11th is a Katrina Benefit at The Abbey with Gato
Malo, Ramona Silver and Alto
Reform School…..And don't forget this Wednesday, October
12th is Red Invasion at Great Scott's
in Allston..they are a band WELL worth going out for!!! Even on a Wednesday!!!
Then on Friday, Oct 14th, at The Abbey is Penis
Fly Trap…..and Saturday's rockin there( The Abbey) with
The Drags and Sasquatch
and The Sickabillies…….Sunday (10-16) at TT's is The
Downbeat 5 with The Bellrays…….and

Pastel paintings and Collages!! we'd LUV to see you all at the Zeitgeist in
Inman Square Cambridge,so we'll have BOOZE, FOOD,
ART and sexy Monique Ortiz (of
Bourbon Princess) to keep you entertained…….the opening is 3-6PM and then
you can make a night of it by heading to dinner someplace say like Bukowski's
(read our review here)
and then over to TT's for a cool evening with The
Konks, Triple Thick and Bomp
