Whoa folks there is A LOT of AWESOME Stuff coming up…so here goes…this Tuesday,
October 18th, Sugabomb is making Da Bomb
debut at Dee Dee's Lounge in Dorchestaaah…and for an extra special added
treat they have the fabulous, famous and handsomest Mach
Bell of Thundertrain, Joe Perry Project and
Mach Five fame guesting on bass AND they are sharing the bill with
U.K. punk rockers Goldblade. Goldblade
is the band John Robbb formed after he broke
up the late, great Membranes. And this is
their first appearance ever in the Boston area so check it out for sure ……and
speaking of Mach 5..this Wednesday, Oct.

Oct 22nd is the Vegetarian Food Festival put on by the Boston Veg Society….it's
at the Reggie Lewis Center which is VERY easy to get to, right across the street
from ther Roxbury Crossing stop on the Orange Line…it's an all day affair with
free food, and awesome speakers...also Saturday October 22 we got Unnatural
Axe doing a special show in Dorchester, here's the low down: 7:00 p.m.,
the Emerald Isle (1501 Dorchester Avenue, Fields Corner) is host to a screening,
on the big screen projection system, of the Dorchester premiere of You'll
Pay for This, the documentary film by Tom
White, about the punk band he and fellow Dot Rat Richie
Parsons It's absolutely worth the trip to see this film!! (Click
to read my review) But then at 9:00 p.m., also at the Emerald Isle,
so ya don't even have to move yr ass! Unnatural Axe,
Dorchester's first punk band, plays an historic public show in historic Dorchester
for the very first time. 21 +. Suggested donation (benefits Dorchester Open Studios)
$5. This is also part of part of Dorchester Open Studios
2005, which features the work of over 70 artists who live, work, learn
or play in Dorchester, exhibiting in three artist studio buildings, one new gallery,
one historic church and an Irish Bar. You can check out all the info at DOT

Classic Ruins …Frank Rowe has told
us that he will be debuting a new song he wrote for Denise
Donahue Rowe (who passed away this past summer. The song is acoustic
guitar with harmonica. October 29th is also Denise's BIRTHDAY!! So go out
to TT's and remember our friend Denise Rowe!!!…but that's not all, also on Saturday
Oct 29th , over at The Skybar in Somerville there's the Lizzie
Borden & The Axes Reunion Gig!! these girls were a mainstay of the
Boston music scene back in the days of bands with too much black hair and the
birth of MTV, reunites for one night only, appropriately on All Hallows Eve weekend!
And this is the original line-up: Cyndie Barone
(drums), Lizzie Borden (bass), Rita Lavacchia (guitar), Heather Fahey (vocals)
and Daria Smith (vocals), their set will begin at 11:30. Be prepared
for an hour of original music and LBA style speeded up cover tunes. Also on the
bill arethe Syphilloids and Wendy
Farren and a comedian to round things out…that's the Skybar at 518
