Bong Wish-Zip Tie Handcuffs-Magic Shoppe

Great Scott

February 6, 2016

Zip Tie Handcuffs

At Great Scott, Bong Wish let the vocals, guitar and drums unravel slowly dreamy and drifting. They pushed up the tension with a guest guitarist on the last tune.

Bong Wish

Zip Tie Handcuffs mashed up the psych, punk and vocal back up. Max Levy killed it on drums. They pulled off a catchy new tune debut something about Robots in the title that went over well.

Magic Shoppe

Magic Shoppe has trimmed down by at least one guitar since I last saw them. The trim has left them lean and feisty on all fronts. The psych still percolated and the riffs were huge. The slips from jam or stop back into the riffs were cathartic as hell. The sound was expansive - deep space clean and clear. It filled every inch of the vacuum. Tremendous. Magic Shoppe has a fine new, made loud to play loud EP - Interstellar Car Crash. Sixth player award to Video Joe's crazy ass light work.
