The Neighborhoods & Neutral Nation The Met, Pawtuckewt, RI December 12, 2015
The crowd at the Met in Pawtucket is buzzy with anticipation. Neutral Nation felt it as soon as they hit the stage. It was frontman Mike 'Dexter Trim' Yarworth's birthday and he wants his guest to enjoy the party. They blitzkrieg through a generous set of punched-up, crowd pleasing punk and roll. At one point, Yarworth hits the floor for some break dance moves - complete with somersault. The Russian judge holds up a 5 but crowd is all in. On a good night, all things old are new again. Neutral Nation do their job and deliver a primed crowd of Hoods and Hoodsies. Minehan and the boys plug right into the crowd. The juice surges between the stage the floor and back again all night long. The Neighborhoods spit off one rockin’ punk pop spark after another. The band is pinned in the red. The crowd matches them peak for peak. Its hard to know who pulled and who pushed. Attribution is irrelevant. Everyone rides the cycles higher and harder and faster and further. People howl and float an inch above the floor.
